How the Vivo X300 Series Raises the Standard for Flagship Smartphones
A wave of excitement was spreading for months through the technology world, thanks to the imminent launch of the Dimensity 9500 flagship processor in September, 2025. And before the processor was even launched, Vivo had announced that its upcoming flagship X300 series would be powered by this processor.
The news was no surprise, since the X200 series is powered by the Dimensity 9400. It remains one of the best flagship series in the market, and the Vivo X 300 series was expected to raise the standard for flagship performance even higher.
Vivo’s flagship cameras, in collaboration with Zeiss, are fantastic for casual photo takers and pro photographers alike. The Dimensity 9500 was expected to provide top-notch performance (the leaked benchmark scores were incredibly high), and Origin OS was finally being released for Vivo phones globally, replacing the Funtouch OS, which did have some issues.
As was predicted, the real life performance matched the hype of the speculations. The larger Pro at 6.78-inches is quite a headliner, with its larger screen estate with Dolby Vision, and the Vivo X300 Pro camera and imaging capabilities being way ahead of the competition.
For those who prefer more naturalistic colours and overall processing, you need to switch off the default beauty mode. Otherwise, the camera configuration is one of the best you can find in a mobile for crystal clear, vibrant photos.
It comes with a 50MP Sony LYT828 main sensor, 50MP ultra-wide and a 200MP telephoto module. There’s something for everyone - a stellar main camera, striking macro shots and a long clear telephoto reach, which is further enhanced by AI. Another highlight is the telephoto converter that you can purchase along with it, that turns the phone into a DSLR camera. Low-light photography, as was the case in the X200, is also excellent.
Vivo never skimps on the display quality, and the Vivo X300 Pro has a stunning LTPO AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. The battery endurance is also impressive, with a 6510mAh battery and a 90W fast charger.
It also packs fast wireless charging capabilities, and thanks to the silicon-carbon technology, the battery can easily last up to 1.5 days with moderate-heavy use. And then you have the Dimensity 9500 processor, which is truly a flagship experience in terms of the powerful performance that stays efficient and smooth. Switching across apps is fast, and you can also do some gaming with minimal thermal throttling. It’s a phone you can easily pick up, and it’s easy on the eyes, and to use for both productivity and entertainment.
The base X300 doesn’t lag behind either. For compact phone enthusiasts, you have a compact 6.31-inch smartphone that’s just as capable. It comes with a smaller 6040mAh battery capacity (the battery capacity can change as per the region), that is just as impressive. It’s also great that this phone comes with the impressive performance of the Dimensity 9500 chipset. It packs a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens (same as the Pro), and a 50MP telephoto lens.
Who should consider the Vivo X300 series?
The Vivo X300 Pro and the X300 are two of the top-most choices for users who want an excellent, innovative camera and imaging system, powerful flagship processing, long battery life, and smooth & intuitive software. Once again, Vivo has raised the bar for what users want and need.
